The 20″ x 2.5″ Empty Refillable Filter Cartridge is an environmentally friendly alternative to water filtration that is reusable. Recycle, Refill, Reuse. Stop throwing away plastic and filling up landfills. The REC-2520 can be filled with a variety of medias: calcite for pH adjustment, activated carbon for taste and odor improvement, softening or mixed bed ion exchange resins, and other medias. When the media is exhausted, simply discard the old media and refill the cartridge with new media. These cartridges come standard with built-in pre and post filters to keep the media from being washed out of the filter cartridge.
