The Life Essentials® Spa Cover Cap is a protective outer layer that slips over your existing cover to absorb that damage instead, available in two sizes: Medium (89″×89″×12″, part SCL891) and Large (96″×96″×12″, part SCL961).
It’s made from ripstop polyester with a breathable membrane backing — a deliberate design choice. Fully sealed, waterproof materials would trap moisture and condensation underneath the cap; this fabric instead repels rain while letting water vapor escape, which helps prevent the mildew and dampness that a fully sealed cap can actually make worse.
Two drawstring fasteners cinch the cap down snugly over your cover’s edges, keeping it in place in wind without flapping or lifting. At roughly 3 pounds depending on size, it’s light enough to lift on and off each time you use your spa, and it folds down small for storage when not in use.
This is a lower-cost way to protect a spa cover you’d otherwise have to replace outright once sun and weather take their toll — a new cover typically costs several times what this cap does. Measure your existing cover before choosing a size, since the Medium and Large aren’t interchangeable.
