The Unicel C-7367 is a 75 square foot replacement cartridge for Dimension One Spas, replacing OEM part number 1561-00. It fits the housings Dimension One markets as the E-Z Lock system, and the name is earned: instead of dropping in, threading on, or pushing into a socket, this cartridge uses a twist lock. You seat it and rotate a partial turn, and it locks into place with a positive, unmistakable engagement.
That is a genuinely good design, and it solves a problem the other approaches leave open. A threaded cartridge can be cross-threaded. A slip fitting can sit half-inserted and feel installed while leaving a bypass gap. A drop-in can rock on a piece of grit. A twist lock either engages or it does not — the tabs are captured behind the lugs in the housing or they are not, and you can feel the difference. There is no ambiguous middle state where the cartridge seems fine and quietly lets water past.
It also means this cartridge cannot be pulled straight out. If you have owned any other kind of spa, your instinct at cleaning time will be to reach in and lift — and that instinct will snap the lock tabs. This one has to be rotated to release first. It is the single most important thing to know about the filter, and it takes two seconds once you know it.
Above the lock, the closed top carries molded Y stand-offs — the three-armed prongs Dimension One and Pleatco refer to as a “castle top,” and the visual signature of D1 filters. They are structural, not decorative: they hold the cartridge at the correct height in the housing and preserve the flow clearance above it. Underneath, 215 pleats of 3 oz Reemay 2033 spunbonded polyester deliver the full 75 square feet, over a solid molded core with chemical-resistant end caps. Pro Tip — twist before you lift. This is the one cartridge in the range that will break if you pull it straight up. Grip it, rotate it a partial turn to disengage the lock tabs, and only then lift it clear. If it will not turn easily, do not force it — check that you are turning the right way and that no debris has jammed the mechanism. Snapped lock tabs mean a new cartridge at best, and a damaged housing fitting at worst. The same applies in reverse when installing: seat it fully first, then twist to lock. Twisting while it is still riding high just grinds the tabs against the lugs.
